Egg Freezing

Egg freezing (oocyte cryopreservation) is a method of preserving a woman’s fertility by collecting, freezing, and storing her eggs for future use. It is an increasingly popular option for women who wish to delay pregnancy for personal, professional, or medical reasons.

Who Is Egg Freezing For?

Women wishing to preserve their fertility before age-related decline, those facing medical treatments that may impair future fertility, and women who have not yet found the right circumstances to start a family but wish to keep their options open.

The Process

Ovarian stimulation using hormonal medications over approximately 10–14 days, with close ultrasound monitoring. Once follicles reach optimal size, eggs are retrieved under sedation in a minor surgical procedure, then vitrified and stored in liquid nitrogen.

Storage and Future Use

Eggs may be stored for up to 5 years under Turkish legal regulations. When ready, eggs are thawed, fertilised via ICSI, and resulting embryos transferred to the uterus.

Success Rates

Outcomes are closely linked to age at freezing. Eggs frozen before 35 generally yield the highest success rates. Our team provides thorough assessment to help each patient make an informed decision.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common Questions

There is no single age, but ovarian reserve declines gradually after the early thirties. Dr. Muzaffer reviews your AMH, antral follicle count, and personal goals to advise the most informed timing for you.

Vitrification allows eggs to be stored for many years without measurable loss of quality. Storage is renewed annually with your consent.

The number depends on your age and ovarian response. Dr. Muzaffer will set a realistic target during your initial assessment.

No. Egg freezing uses the eggs your body would have released anyway in that cycle. It does not deplete your reserve.

Yes. Many of our patients begin with an online consultation, complete preliminary tests in their home country, and travel only for the active cycle.
